The goal of the NDSDA to first and foremost protect and develop the Office of the Sheriff in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Sheriff's and Deputies Association (NDSDA) consists of members from Sheriff's Offices in North Dakota. The NDSDA is a non-profit orgainziation that is a voice for the Sheriff's and Deputies of North Dakota.
The NDSDA monitors legislation that affects law enforcement in North Dakota, develops partnerships with other law enforcement associations and will work with these other associations and legislators to further law enforcement in North Dakota. The NDSDA also has a seat at the table in the National Sheriff's Association's (NSA) State Executive Director's and President's Committee. The current serving president of the NDSDA fills that seat during their term of office.
The terms of office for the governing board is two years and they are elected by the membership. The board consists of a President, Vice President and Secretary Treasurer. The immediate past president also is considered part of the Executive Board. The rules governing the NDSDA are set forth in the North Dakota Sheriff'sa and Deputies Association by-laws.
The NDSDA and its members are proud of their service to North Dakota.
